Spencer Someday

Spencer Someday is the project of Seattle-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Spencer Birkeland. Influenced by legends like John Mayer, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, and The Rolling Stones, Spencer crafts heartfelt, guitar-driven songs rooted in storytelling and emotional grit. He grew up in a musical household and began writing songs at 15, first falling in love with the drums before teaching himself guitar. Though he spent much of his youth chasing a dream of playing college basketball, music ultimately pulled him in with a deeper sense of purpose.
His debut album, Lucky Lefty, is a raw, introspective journey through addiction, mental health, grief, and personal transformation—laying bare the life behind the lyrics. The album was produced in collaboration with Chase Pryor, an Iowa-native singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer influenced by folk artists such as Bon Iver and Ben Howard. Together, Spencer and Chase brought to life a collection of songs that have been close to Spencer’s heart for the past five years, shaping them into a cohesive and powerful body of work
